Review: Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Monday, October 06, 2014

Ever since my day out at the 40s event in Chatham I've really been liking red lipstick. It's something I've never really considered wearing myself until now, purely because I didn't think it would suit me, but I've heard good things about the Apocalips range by Rimmel London and when I saw it in bright red, I thought I would give it a try.

The tube is a sleek design with a faceted lid - which is great for gripping while undo-ing it. The other mega interesting thing about this lip gloss is the shape of the applicator. The brush has a little pocket in it, which captures lots of the liquid, meaning that the colour goes on really thick. It feels really smooth and the wand is the perfect angle to cover the whole lip.

I apologise for the weird photos of my mouth, haha, but I couldn't really demonstrate this product without including some photos!

Pros:
1. Cute packaging with a comfortable faceted lid
2. Great brush design
3. Bold colour
4. Super glossy
5. Long lasting colour
6. Comes off easily with make up remover

Cons:
1. Can be a little hard to control the wand and get a nice straight line
2. The lacquer is very thick so it's easy to use too much
