Review: Rimmel London Wake Me Up Instant Radiance

Saturday, September 13, 2014

I've always loved Rimmel London products. In fact I think the first mascara I ever had was by Rimmel! My mum had given it to me as a gift one evening after school, and at the time it was my proudest possession!

Sadly though, I've never found a foundation in their range that matches my skin tone. Rimmel sent me a free, full-sized bottle of their Wake Me Up foundation when it was first released and I loved the texture and the shimmer... But it wasn't my colour!

When I saw in Superdrug that Rimmel had released a Wake Me Up Instant Radiance cream blush, I thought, finally! I can have the best of both worlds. And it definitely doesn't disappoint!

The cream comes in a tiny 14ml tube, which on first glance seems like a waste of money, but actually, the product goes a long way! The tiniest pea sized blob is plenty.

The colour on this product is so strong and the thing I love about it being a cream, is that you can adjust how strong you want the colour, just by blending it into the skin more. I use my fingers, but I don't see why you couldn't use a small brush or sponge if you wanted to. Can you see the sparkles?

I'm not sure if you can see from the photo, but I love the rosy, fresh-faced complexion!

Pros:
1. A cute little tube that fits perfectly in your make up bag when you're on the go!
2. It's fragrance free!
3. It's lightweight to wear
4. Long lasting
5. I personally love the shimmer! It gives a real fresh-faced look and reflects the light beautifully.
6. Good, strong colour - you literally only need to use a tiny amount at a time!

Cons:
1. I know you only need to use a tiny amount at a time, but I wish the tube was a bit bigger!
