I'm in a little bit of a dilemma this week!
It's my friend's Birthday in a couple of days and I need payday to hurry up! So I thought I would make a little compilation of fantastic gifts for under £5!

In the end I bought my friend a purse from Accessorize and a bath bomb from Lush and she loved them!
Yesterday, my bf and I decided to visit Danson House in SE London. Neither of us had ever been there before and had no idea what to expect. Having visited castles and stately homes such as Hever Castle and Chartwell before, Danson House seemed a bit of a mystery to us. It was definitely smaller, but it was still beautiful and well worth a visit.

The 'gardens' are now open free to the public as Danson Park and has a beautiful lake running through the middle, with a boat house and several watersports clubs.
The kitchen is underground so it was lovely and cool. (The windows are at ground level)
This time last year, I hadn't heard of Crabtree & Evelyn. It was my bf's mum that introduced me to them. If you don't live near one of their shops, basically they sell body creams, shower gels, nail varnishes and hand creams. They can be quite expensive though!
Anyway, after ordering a Christmas present from them once, I had been automatically added to their newsletter and received an email this week about their sale. Out of curiosity I decided to visit their store and splashed out on some hand creams for myself. (I work in the Design & Technology department in a school, so my hands are constantly exposed to nasties!)
The thing I love about these hand creams is the quality. I've used Vaseline ones in the past and always found that they left my hands feeling really greasy afterwards. These ones however, are so smooth and enriching. The larger sized tubes come packaged in a box which is simple yet effective. The scents are really strong, long-lasting and natural - not at all sickly or artificial.
I started putting the lavender cream on my hands before bed and found that the relaxing scent helped me sleep, so I went back and invested in a large tube which I now keep in my bedside drawer :-) I've also bought a few extra as they'd make great gifts too!
